Andreas Birke, Gruppenleiter der H0 – DC Gruppe hat ein wunderschönes Modul gebaut, das s.g. Birkental. Haupbauteil ist dabei natürlich die Brücke, welche die Blicke auf sich zieht. Aber an kleinen Details mangelt es nicht. Die Bauzeit betrug mehrere Monate.
Bei der Brücke handelt es sich um die Bietschtal Brücke , das Original befindet sich im Wallis in der Schweiz auf der Strecke zwwischen dem Lötschbergtunnel und Brig.
Hier ein Auszug aus Wikipedia:
“Die Brücke überspannt das Tal des Bietschbachs, das sich an dieser Stelle zu einer Schlucht verengt. Die maximale Höhe der Brücke über dem Talgrund beträgt 78 m. Die Brücke liegt auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Raron im Rhonetal, auf deren Gebiet auch das Südportal des neuen Lötschberg-Basistunnels steht. Die Südrampe der alten Lötschberglinie bewältigt auf einer Länge von 25 km einen Höhenunterschied von 540 m. Ungefähr in der Mitte dieser Strecke befindet sich die Bietschtalbrücke. Auf beiden Seiten der Brücke befindet sich ein Tunnel. Talseitig verfügt die Brücke über einen schmalen Gehweg.”
Die Gestaltung des Moduls wurde nach eigenem Ermessen gebaut und hat kein Vorbild.
